This surfing experience near San Jose del Cabo is ideal for kids as well as grown-ups. With the guidance of our awesome professional coaches, you’ll feel safe and confident as you ride your first wave! If you’ve been surfing before and you’re ready for more, our professional coaches can help you improve your intermediate or advanced skills.
This surf spot is at Costa Azul, which is close to San Jose del Cabo but easily accessible from anywhere in Los Cabos.

As you walk from the tender pier through the pier security gate, turn right on the red sidewalk that borders the harbor. The Gali Plaza will be on your left, the water on your right. Walk approximately 20 yards to the Cruise Terminal building. The building will be on your left and has a sign saying API in blue letters. Enter the terminal building and walk to the far side where you will exit onto a parking lot. At the parking lot exit, you will see an Oxxo convenience store. Your guide will be waiting in front of the store.

Our round trip transportation covers hotels in San Jose del Cabo, the corridor, and the Cabo San Lucas tourist area. Pick up is approximately one hour before the start of your tour. Upon booking, you can specify your exact hotel. Please contact us to confirm your specific time of pick up one day before your scheduled tour.
We do not offer transportation from hotels outside of the tourist area, such as Hard Rock, Nobu, or Four Seasons (these are approx. 50 min. away from the tourist area); for those hotels, we will pick you up at our standard meeting point:

If you’re looking for Cabo surf lessons during the winter season (15th of November to 15th of March), then check out our Surf Lessons at Cerritos beach – this is where we move our surfing classroom to during winter for lack of waves at Costa Azul throughout those months.

No prior experience is required! Our classes are designed for all experience levels, from beginners (we teach you enough to catch a wave) to experts (we offer coaching), always ensuring a great experience at each level as needed.
For every 3 people in a class, there will be 1 guide/coach
We use foam boards for our surf lessons. If you prefer a fiberglass surfboard please be sure to request this in advance at the time of booking.
We recommend the 9 am schedule, in the mornings there is less wind and cleaner waves, so the conditions are usually more favorable.
Yes, prices are the same for both children and adults. If we have children participating we always aim to have an extra guide for supervision. When you book your surf lesson, please specify whether the participants are children.
Your safety is our priority. When the conditions are not favorable, due to wind, high waves, or a tropical storm, we offer to change the day of your reservation or make a refund.
Our activities include transportation, within the center and hotel zone of San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas.
The hotels that do not include transportation because they are outside the city center are Hard Rock, Nobu, Diamante, Rancho Cabo San Lucas, Four Seasons, El Encanto de la Laguna. We can pick you up at our meeting point at the Oxxo in Plaza Gali which is located in front of the Sandos Finisterra hotel in Cabo San Lucas.

Pick-up times are assigned based on the location of your hotel or place of accommodation. Pick-ups start approximately one and a half hours before the scheduled activity time.
To join the lesson as an observer you have to book a non-surfer/companion spot on our transport. The non-surfer/companion fee includes round trip transportation, shaded camp (umbrellas and chairs), bottled water and snacks. You’ll be able to enjoy the beach at our camp while observing the surf lesson.
To book, simply select “observer (non-surfer)”.
We have two seasons for surf lessons, in the summer from March 15 to November 15, surf lessons are available on the Costa Azul. In winter from November 15 to March 15, surf classes are available in Cerritos.
During the winter there are no waves on the Costa Azul beach, which is why the change is made to Cerritos beach.
Our activities take place on the beach and there are no locker facilities, however, you can safely leave your personal belongings in the transportation.
As we know the weather is a factor that can lead us to modify our day, sometimes we will have to change location, reschedule and / or cancel (the refund will be issued 100% in case of cancellation by us). You will be informed of the options and you will make the decision. Factors that could influence this are rain, high swell, wind and jellyfish.
For a full refund, you must cancel at least 48 hours in advance of the start date of the experience. No show or last minute cancellation will be charged in full. This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
No, all transfers are complementary and optional, therefore the price doesn’t change if you don’t use the transfer option.
